April may bring Easter, sudden rain showers and the Grand National, but here in the Elevate Team, this April means only one thing - the Education Conference. This year's conference will be held at the Octagon Centre on 18th April 2023, and aims to bring together staff and students to share good practice, collaborate and celebrate innovative learning and teaching ideas.
The theme of this year's conference is 'Building Community' and there will be a mixture of Workshops, Presentations and Discussions on this theme. We are very pleased that the Keynote Speech will be delivered by Oliver Young Associate Academic Dean for Students at The University of Exeter and Chief Diversity Officer at University of Exeter Business School.
Some of the topics being covered include Sustainable Development, the rise of Artificial Intelligence and the positive lessons we can learn from the pandemic. There will also be a panel discussion, led by our Vice President for Education Mary Vincent, about how to build a sense of belonging for students.
Although registration is now full, we are planning of a series of blog posts reflecting on the Conference over the next few weeks.
The full programme can be found here, and you can find out more information about the Education Conference here.
